Why I wrote it?
My entire life I have loved writing. I have written short stories since elementary school, getting lost in my imagination. Over the years, writing has become something peaceful for me and something I truly enjoy.
More than twenty years ago I woke up from a vivid dream that felt so real I had to write it down. I jotted a few paragraphs, thinking it would be nothing more than another idea. But every year or two, I found myself returning to it, adding a line, expanding a scene, and wondering why it kept pulling me back.
In late 2024 I realized it was time to finally bring the story to life. Even if no one else ever read it, I needed to write the whole thing.
This book, And Still We Stood, is the beginning of what that dream eventually became.
So what is it about?
Most books fit neatly into a category such as Romance, Suspense, Thriller, or Dystopian. This one did not.
Instead, it follows a deeply personal point of view from three characters who find themselves in the middle of a fracturing nation. It is a story of faith, struggle, loyalty, and quiet strength when everything around them begins to fall apart.
It is about what they hold on to.
What they refuse to surrender.
And what they choose to stand for when standing becomes the hardest thing to do.
I hope you feel the love they carry, the pain they endure, and the courage it takes to do what they believe is right.
